My style is simple and casual with little direction, just quiet observation with my camera. It’s all about timing and giving you the freedom and space to be yourself. I strive to capture images that will make you smile and remember those little details so easily forgotten. I look forward to meeting you and your family and capturing images that you will cherish.
Details:
Location: Sessions can be held at your home or an agreed upon location. I use natural light only. If the weather is comfortable outside your session can be held in a shaded area of your yard or at a favorite park. If the weather is too hot or cold we can have play time inside using window light. You also have the option of booking your session at my studio space at my home in Holly, MI. Newborns are best at the studio to take advantage of the beautiful natural light and my large collection of hats, wraps and baskets.
What to wear: Keep clothing simple, avoid white, and stay away from any clothing with written logos. Favorites are layered outfits, bare feet, and babies in their birthday suits! If there is more than one child, outfits can be similar, but it's not necessary to have them matching.
Preparation: Make sure everyone is well rested, and well fed. Relax and enjoy! Children can sense stressful energy and often react against it. If a child is not feeling well, it's better to reschedule. A session can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. If the plan is to meet at a park, then make sure to bring snacks, a drink, outfit change and even wet wipes!
My style: My style is simple and clean, with the focus on those precious little faces. I like to catch all expressions... serious, smiley, sassy and silly! The best way to get this is by playing games, singing songs and having Mom and Dad act a little crazy! All digital images are shot in color, and then presented in a mix of color and black and white.
After the session: I will send a sneak peak after the session by email to share with family and friends. Please forward this email on! I strive my hardest to complete galleries as quick as I can. Once proofs are done a password protected online gallery will be available to view and share. Once you place your print order and payment is made, please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery of print enlargements. Orders will not be placed until payment is received in full. All images will remain on file should you ever desire additional reprints at a later date.
